Kinderhilfswerk is a non-Government, non-profit and non-political organization. This organization is register by NGO Affairs Bureau and Ministry of Social welfare, Bangladesh. The organization basically provides assistance to children through its sponsorship program in the form of cash, education materials, food items, medical assistance, sports equipment and other necessities. It also works on providing safe water through tube wells and safe latrines providing various relief items like cloth, solar systems. At present there are total 227 students under child sponsorship project. In between these 25 students are under feed support. It may increase or decrease many times. Every student has to go through a process for sponsorship. If the criteria are fulfilled, the parents of the child are given the opportunity to fill the sponsorship form. Usually, a sponsored student gets help from Play to Masters. The organization is being funded by the donor organization Global-Care, Germany. This organization was started in 1971 to help the education of children during the post 1971 war of Independence period. At that time, it was run by a local Church Of God mission and the project name was Children Care. Later registered by social welfare, Bangladesh in 2001 and next NGO Affairs Bureau, Bangladesh in 2006. Since then, the organization has been working for the backward communities and for all believers. This organization has been running since 1976 with education as the highest priority.
