Upz. Kulaura, Dist. Moulvibazar, Division. Sylhet, Bangladesh.

ÂThe Children Care project is being run in rented premises at the above address. The project is conducting its activities according to the goals, objectives and plans of the organization KHW. As the project area is far away from the head office Lalmonirhat, it is being managed with proper monitoring from a distance, though the work is very difficult. As per the request of the donor organization and considering the words of the left behind children and families, we are trying for them. The project activities are going on with the cooperation of officials, employees, local dignitaries, Government administration, parents and neighbors.

The Children Care Program is now running with the financial support of KHW Global-Care, Germany and support by KHW-India (Asian Director) and KHW-Lalmonirhat.

The sponsored students are getting their support in two parts as the same. The non residential students get their stipend/cash ration every month. The school, College, University, training students getting equal 1,000/= taka per month. Resident students get three times meals in a day and them getting hygienic supplies and education materials, uniform, school fee, tutor fee, first aid, medical support and traveling cost when they attend in the JSC and SSC exam. The poor non residential students are also getting medical support and various gift items. There are total 114 students in the project. Out of those 114: Primary Students 12, High School Students-70, College, University and Technical Students-29 and Nursing-3.

 

 

 

 

 Case study of Maria Das

Maria Das ID No. 202- 025.Village Baramchal Mission, Baramchal, Kulaura, Moulvibazar. She is a child of a poor family. She is the eldest daughter in the family and has a younger sister. Her father works as a cook and mother is a housewife. Her father was the only earning person in their family. From the little income of her father it was too hard for her to do her study well. From her childhood she dreamed of being a nurse so that she could serve the poor people. In this hard situation the sponsorship of the Kinderhilfswerk has come as a great blessing in her life. She is getting help under this project from 2013 to 2023. She has completed her training in diploma nursing from Rajshahi Christian Hospital with the help of the project and her relatives. She left the project in May 2023. Currently she is working as a nurse in the Rajnagar Government Upazila health Complex, Rajnagar, Moulvibazar, Bangladesh. Maria Das and her family are very happy and they give thanks to the Kinderhilfswerk and to the sponsor for supporting her from her childhood till she has completed her training.
